Nine Trees Future Art Center

The world's first “Forest Theatre”—Nine Trees Future Art Center, located in Fengxian District, Shanghai, officially opened in September 2019. It is the landmark project of the "Artistic Business Card of the South of Shanghai" and the first national A-class theater in the suburbs of Shanghai as well, for Shanghai audiences, which has become a hot tourist attraction during the National Day and has accommodated thousands of tourists.

The total area of the art center is 120,522 square meters, which is divided into a 1200-seat main theater, a 500-seat multifunctional theater, a 300-seat theme theater, and two outdoor theaters—the Water Theater and the Forest Theater, covering both the inner and outer spaces. In the meantime, the wall of the art gallery near the forest uses all-glass material, which becomes a focal point through lighting, creating a unique artistic temperament.
